If your son or daughter failed a core class this school year, or during their high school career and needs to make it up, he or she needs to sign up for summer school.
Summer school registration is open until May 31st. If you are not sure if your child needs summer school or if you're not sure what class they should take over summer school, please reach out to your grade level counselor:
- Kelly Wiedmeyer - Juniors (Class of 2020)
- Jamin Penick - Sophomores (Class of 2021)
- Desiree Gould - Freshman (Class of 2022)
You can either register over the phone with your counselor or complete the application form and return it to the high school main office by May 31st.Summer School Dates:
Starts: June 3rd
Ends: June 21st
Classes run Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am-11: 30 am
Transportation is available: you will need to notate when you register if transportation is needed and what your local elementary school is.
Courses available during summer school:
Direct Instruction: (Semester 1 only)
Algebra I
Algebra II US History Geometry
Government English 10 Biology
*Class Size = 25 max per course
Online Instruction:
If you need to make up a course that is not offered above, you can register for an online course.
* Class Size – 25 students max
*Registration is a first come first serve
Attendance:
Since one day of summer school is equivalent to over a week of regular school, attendance is essential to successful completion of the course.
Any student that misses more than 8 hours of class throughout the duration of Summer School will not receive credit for the class.
Any student who does not successfully complete their coursework by the final day of summer school will be withdrawn from the course, and no academic credit will be given.
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ATTENDANCE POLICY.
