Message from the Principal
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! We are excited about the opportunity to make this school year the best yet!
The Princeton City School District mission statement is, “Empowering each student for college, career, and life success”. To empower means to make someone stronger and more confident. Even at the elementary level, there are opportunities for our children to build character and become strong leaders. As principal, my mission is to ensure that we are equipped to empower our children. That includes you! We have a strong PTA that can grow even stronger with your participation. It takes all of us doing our part to fulfill the mission before us!
This year’s theme is “Great Leaders are Built One Habit at a Time”. We will continue to build upon the Growth Mindset foundation that we introduced last year, and work on developing student leadership by teaching and modeling principles such as responsibility, service, and honesty. Throughout the year we will learn and practice Sean Covey’s The 7 Habits of Happy Kids.
There are so many exciting things happening at Glendale Elementary on a daily basis. Follow us on Twitter @GLESVikes for school information and @glendaleohpta for PTA news. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions, concerns, or want to discuss how you can connect with our learning community. Together we can make 2019-2020 the best!
With warm regards,
Principal Tracy Jennings
