College Application Deadlines Terms to Know:
Rolling Application- Applying within a large window. You will receive a notice as you apply.
Early Action- Apply by the early application window, which is normally November 1st or December 1st.

You will receive an early decision, typically by January or February.
Early Decision- Apply by the early application window.

If you are admitted, you are bound and committed to go.

You can only apply to ONE school Early Decision and you must withdraw all other applications once you are accepted

You should only do this if you meet all of the requirements and if this is your #1 school and have no doubt about it. Also, make sure you and your family are financially committed.
Waitlist- Neither accepted, nor rejected

Colleges don’t typically admit from the waitlist until May 1st

If you are waitlisted, talk to your counselor ASAP.
