    Princeton City School District Announces 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients


    Eight alumni will receive the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award for Princeton City Schools. The Distinguished Alumni Award honors Princeton High School alumni for notable service and achievement in their fields and significant contributions to the local or global community.

    The 2020 recipients are Myron Brown (Class of 1979), James F. Culley (Class of 1973), Anna Dickson (Class of 1999), Dave Dyer, George R. Hall (Principal at Glendale Elementary), Mike Lindner (Class of 1968), Charles Mason (Class of 2010), and Patrick McCreary (Class of 1969).

    “I am incredibly proud of and inspired by this year’s Distinguished Alumni honorees,” said Tom Burton, Princeton City Schools Superintendent. “I know the Princeton Education Foundation and the Board of Education share my appreciation and admiration for each of these individuals and how they have continued to make their positive mark in the world since graduating from Princeton City Schools.” 

    Princeton City Schools has honored alumni, community contributors, and emeritus employees since the award’s inception in 2013. The Distinguished Alumni Award is sponsored by the Princeton Education Foundation in conjunction with the Princeton Vikings Alumni Association and the Princeton School District.

    An in-person celebration will be held to honor this year’s recipients that hold a special place in Princeton history on November 13, 2021, in Viking Village. The career highlights of each honoree will be shared during the celebration.

    Congratulations to Myron Brown (Class of 1979), James Culley (Class of 1973), Anna Dickson (Class of 1999), Dave Dyer (Class of 1990), Mike Lindner (Class of 1968), Charles Mason (Class of 2010), Patrick McCreary (Class of 1969) and George Hall (former principal of Glendale Elementary)! These are the recipients of our 2020 Class of Distinguished Alumni who will be entering the Hall of Fame on November 13, 2021.
