• Schedules for the 22/23 school year will be mailed prior to school starting.
      • TA Requests: Juniors and Seniors in good standing with attendance, behavior and academics are permitted to TA (Teacher Aide). There is a pink form students need to complete to request to TA. The form can be found in the College and Career Center in front of Mrs. Meyer's desk.
      • Early Release Requests: Seniors in good standing with academics, behavior and attendance are permitted to Early Release 1 bell. There is an orange form the student will need to complete to request early release. The form can be found in the College and Career Center in front of Mrs. Meyer's desk. 
      • Late Arrival Requests:  Seniors in good standing with academics, behavior and attendance are permitted to request to arrive late 1 bell. There is a purple form a student will need to complete to request late arrival. The form can be found in the College and Career Center in front of Mrs. Meyer's desk. 
      • Schedule Change Requests: Juniors and Seniors are able to request a schedule change between the first 4 days of the school year. There will be a google form email out on the 1st day of school. This form will be processed in the order your counselor receives it. Your counselor will email you with a decision. DO NOT email your counselor separately with a request.
      • CCP Course Change Requests - No student will be permitted to add a CCP course once the school year begins. Any requests to drop must be completed within the first 4 days of school via the google form. DO NOT email your counselor separately with a request. 
       
      All upperclassmen MUST have 5 full bells of classes unless approved for early graduation. 
      • Early Graduation - If you wish to work towards early graduation, you must complete the form below NO LATER THAN AUG 25TH. Completing the form does NOT guarantee you will be able to graduate early, but your counselor will pull you to discuss this request and see if it's a viable option. 
       
       
     
     

    Ohio’s Graduation Seals

    In addition to fulfilling curriculum requirements, students must also show they are prepared for the next steps after high school.  State law created 12 diploma seals for students to demonstrate academic, technical, and professional readiness.  Students will demonstrate readiness by earning at least two diploma seals, one of which must be state-defined.  

    Class of 2023 and beyond

     All students in the class of 2023 and beyond are required to earn two graduation seals. At least one of the two must be Ohio-designed (State).

    OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal (state)

    • Demonstrate proficiency in each of 15 identified profession skills;

    • Use the Ohio MeansJobs Readiness Seal Form to record a demonstration of each professional skill;

    • Work with a mentor to validate (confirm) each skill across a minimum of two of the three environments

    Community: Volunteer coordinators, faith-based leaders & others

    Work: Supervisors, hiring managers, experienced co-workers & others

    School: Teachers, administrators, advisors, coaches & other

    Industry-Recognized Credential Seal (state)

    • Earn an approved 12-point industry-recognized credential or group of credentials totaling 12 points in a single career field

    Attend a Great Oaks program

    Military Enlistment Seal (state)

    • Provide evidence that a student has enlisted in a branch of the US Armed Forces; or

    • Participate in 2 years of an approved JROTC program. 

    College Readiness Seal (state)

    • Earn remediation-free scores on the ACT or SAT

    Citizenship Seal (state)

    A student can: (1 of the 3)

    1. Earn a score of proficient on both the American History and American government End-of-Course Exams OR earn a final course grade of “B” or higher in both American History and American government; or

    2. Earn a score that is at least equivalent on appropriate Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exams; or

      1. PHS course offerings  include: AP US History, AP Human Geography, AP Government

    3. Earn a final course grade that is equivalent to a “B” or higher in appropriate classes taken through the College Credit Plus program 

      1. PHS course offering sCCP US History 1, CCP US History 2

    Science Seal (state)

    A student can: (1 of the 3)

    1. Earn a score of proficient or higher on the Biology End-of-Course exam OR earn a final course grade of “B” or higher in a specified advanced science course; or

    2. Earn a score that is at least equivalent to proficient on appropriate Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exams; or

      1. PHS course offerings include: AP Biology, IB Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, IB Physics

    3. Earn a final course grade that is equivalent to a “B” or higher in an appropriate class taken through the College Credit Plus program 

      1. PHS course offerings include: CCP Environmental Science, CCP Biology

    Honors Diploma Seal (state):

    Earn one of six Honors Diplomas outlined below: 

    1. Academic Honors Diploma

    2. International Baccalaureate Honors Diploma

    3. Career-Tech Honors Diploma

    4. STEM Honors Diploma

    5. Arts Honors Diploma

    6. Social Science and Civic Engagement Honors Diploma

    Seal of Biliteracy (state)

    Demonstrate all of the following:

    • Demonstrate eligibility for a high school diploma

    • Demonstrate English language arts proficiency; 

    Earn a score of a “3” on ELA2 EOC, or a score of a “3” on the OELPA, or a score of an 18 on the writing portion of the ACT and 22 on the reading portion of the ACT, or a score of a 480 on the Evidence-based Reading and writing portion of the SAT)

    • Demonstrate world language proficiency 

    Earning a score of a “5” on the HL IB French or Spanish exam or a score of a “6” on the SL IB Spanish or French exam

    Technology Seal (state):

    A student can do one of the following: (1 of the 3)

    1. Earn a score of a “2” on an appropriate AP or IB exam; or

    PHS course offerings: occasionally, AP Computer Science

    1. Earn a final course grade that is equivalent to a “B” or higher in an appropriate class taken through the College Credit Plus program; or

    PHS course offerings: CCP IT courses

    1. Complete a course offered through the district or school that meets guidelines developed by the department

    Community Service Seal* (Local):

    • Students must complete 15 hours of community service over the course of grades 9-12.  Plans must be pre-approved by a school counselor or administrator. 

    Fine or Performing Arts Seal* (Local):

    • Four (4) points to be accumulated at the following rate: 

    .5 points for each semester of successful completion of fine or performing art courses (CCP classes may be used)

    1 point for participating in each drama or musical production (cast, crew, or orchestra)

    Note: plays can be school or community sponsored (verification is required)


    Student Engagement Seal* (Local):

    • Four points to be accumulated at the following rate:

    1 point for each full season of participation on a school-sponsored athletic team

    1 point for participation in each school-sponsored, non-credit bearing drama or musical production (cast, crew, or orchestra)

    1 point for each year as a member of a school-sponsored band (marching or concert), orchestra, or choir

    1 point for each year as a class officer or membership of student leadership/government

    1 point for each year as a member of a school-sponsored extracurricular activity/club
