Maverick Barnette, a sophomore worked with Mr. Sullivan to form an eSports club that quickly grew in just a few months into 3 competitive Premier Teams. (Premier is like varsity) Together they worked closely with Christopher Lockhart, Princeton Technology Director to determine the equipment needed to field these teams.  Thanks to the support of the district and the technology department, they were able to purchase 6 gaming stations, built with the assistance of the eSports team members and the technology department staff.

This first season was a huge success!

They competed against other school teams in Ohio.  They were in the SW2 (Southwest Ohio Region 2) for gameplay.

The Super Smash team is currently ranked 4th in their division and will qualify for post season play. The regional tournament will be a LAN match. This means that the players will all be in person in the same arena. If they make it through regionals, they will go to the State Championship, held at the University of Akron's eSports Arena.

LAN:  A gathering of participants with personal computers or compatible game consoles, where a local area network (LAN) connection is established between the devices using a router or switch, primarily for the purpose of playing multiplayer video games in person, together.
