Dear Stewart Families,
Welcome to Stewart Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year. My name is Dr. Ronald Fausnaugh and I am proud to be your principal. We had a fantastic school year in 2018-2019 and we are confident that we will have an even better one this year!
The mission of The Princeton City School District is to empower students for college, career, and life success. Our efforts at Stewart Elementary is to prepare students for future success. Your child will be in excellent hands with a very caring staff committed to achievement for all students.
We at Stewart Elementary along with the rest of The Princeton City School District are dedicated to achieving the following goals with our students as the top priority.
- Responsibility- All stakeholders will play a role in the success of each student’s learning.
- Performance- Learning will be student-centered, and each student will be challenged to his/her highest potential, regardless of his/her starting point.
- Personalization- We will celebrate diversity and respect the cultural, academic, and social/emotional uniqueness of each student, and provide him/her with equitable access to learning opportunities for ongoing and future success.
- Safety- Students and staff will have safe learning environments where they feel protected and encouraged to voice their needs with confidence.
- Communication- We will foster consistent and transparent communication to build awareness and trust among all stakeholders.
Be the Change You Wish to See in the World!
We value every student and family we serve at Stewart Elementary. Our theme for the year is “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” With your support, the staff of Stewart will work diligently to empower your students to be future world changers.
Stewart Elementary Expectations
At Stewart Elementary our students are RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, SAFE, and PEACEFUL PROBLEM SOLVERS. All school rules and procedures are built around these four principles. We also expect our students to be in school on time and ready to learn.
Our school day begins at 9:00 a.m. Students may arrive at 8:45 a.m. for breakfast. We end our school day at precisely 4:00 p.m. If you wish to drop your child off before 9:00 you must have your child enrolled in YMCA Before School Care. We thank you for your cooperation and support in adhering to our schedule. Every minute of instruction is valuable.
We also appreciate your support as parents, guardians, and family members to follow up on your child’s progress. A small amount of involvement at home makes a tremendous impact! Please stop by the office if you are interested in helping as a school volunteer this year.
Important updates and information from the school and your child’s teacher will arrive in multiple formats. Please check your child’s backpack regularly for newsletters, graded work, and updates. Updates will also be on the school’s website.
Class Dojo is a tool that will be used school wide. This tool will allow you to view daily behavior reports, send and receive messages with the classroom teacher, and keep up-to-date on school news. You will receive instructions for enrolling in Class Dojo when your child returns to school.
You can sign up to receive weekly e-mails highlighting events throughout the district. You can subscribe by using the link below.
