Good evening, Princeton Families. This is Superintendent Tom Burton with an update on WiFi, learning packets, and staying connected.
This week we switched our focus from distributing ChromeBooks to making sure students have Internet connectivity to access online learning. We are working with local apartment and mobile home communities to offer the option to check-out Wifi devices from management offices. In the past 2 days, we distributed 70 mobile hotspot devices for Princeton students to borrow and will be distributing another 100 next week. Our housing partners include:
Centennial Estates
The Colony of Springdale
Oak Park Apartments
The Willows Apartments
Village Green Mobile Home Park
The Villas of the Valley
Yorktowne Mobile Home Park
If you live in one of these communities, and you do not have Internet service, please contact the management office at your complex to check out a device. If you still need a ChromeBook, remember to use the Hotline phone number: 513-864-1162.
District school campus parking lots are also available for connecting to WiFi from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. The Princeton Mobile Book Center will also be parking in community parking lots to offer WiFi access. Please see the website for the schedule of times and locations.
Principals and teachers have been in contact with 93% of our elementary students and 97% of our students with special needs. Learning packets were sent to families that did not have access to technology or were unable to connect with the teachers. These elementary and English Learner learning packets are online as well. The packets are meant as supplemental work or if students can not access assignments from their teacher. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher or the school principal.
Stay safe. Stay well. Stay connected!
Go Vikes!
