Remote Learning Week of May 25-29, 2020

Hi Parents and Students!
This school year definitely did not end as was expected! It saddens me that my time in
the classroom with my first graders was cut short. I know it has been challenging not
only for me, but for you and your child as well. I had to step out of my comfort zone and I
will forever be grateful for all of your support and patience during this time. I hope each
of you and your families have a nice summer, stay safe and well and that we all can
return to “normal” soon.
Thank you for sharing your children with me this year. My “2020” first graders will
always hold a special place in my heart.

For Mrs. Pence's Reading class:

Hello awesome readers!
I can't believe we have finally made it to the last week of school! I wish it were ending differently, especially with a great big hug! I am so proud of all the work you have done this year, and how amazingly you have done during this pandemic.
Please take this last week easy as you ease into summertime! I'd love to get an email or even hand written letter from you as this year comes to a close. Take your school Reading time this week to write to me. I'd love it so much!
Reading Eggs will be available, but I am not adding any new assignments to readworks for this last week. I will only check Reading Eggs for some time logged. I'll also check my email for a note from your kiddo. Or if they want and are able to send traditional mail, my address is 5814 Maxfli Lane, Mason, OH 45040. A letter from your kiddo would mean the most to me, over having extra hours of work logged in. :)

Have an incredible last week of school...we try to always fill it with fun, so I hope your family can do some fun things to celebrate. I'll be up at the school on Tuesday passing out my homeroom student's locker and desk materials. Feel free to drive through the line to say good bye if you want :) . It's ok if you don't, I'll just look for that email message or mail to come with a smile from your kiddo.:)

Much respect, we could not have ended this year successfully without you parents as our partners! Have a fantastic summer!!!
💝🤗
