Exploring the Great Barrier Reef from the Classroom
Dr. Cottrell’s Science classes took a Virtual Tour of the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest living structure located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
The students observed fish species live on the reef and looked at the stress to coral by warmer ocean temperatures leading to coral bleaching.
Climate change is perhaps the biggest threat to the Great Barrier Reef.
