Sharonville police have cleared the scene at Princeton High School where a suspicious bag prompted an evacuation.

The Sharonville Police Department said in a post on Twitter that Princeton High School was evacuated after a suspicious package was found in the building Tuesday morning.

School officials said out of an abundance of caution, the buildings, including Viking Village, Princeton Community Middle School and Princeton High School, were evacuated.

Students were moved to the school's designated alternate sites, including PCMS (Vineyard), and PHS (Queen City Racquet Club) where they stayed until early dismissal.

School officials and police said that after an extensive search of the school, no device was found and the scene is all clear.

Staff members will be able to reenter the building after 2 p.m. All after schools activities are canceled.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police at 513-563-1147.
