On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce released its annual State Report Cards for Ohio’s public school districts and individual schools. Princeton is pleased to share that the 2025-26 Report Card shows Princeton City Schools continuing to exceed state standards, including a record-high five-star overall rating for Princeton High School.
For reference, a five-star rating is the highest possible rating, indicating “significantly exceeds state standards.” A four-star rating indicates “exceeds state standards,” while a three-star rating indicates “meets state standards.”
Princeton High School received a five-star rating for the first time in the 2025-26 Report Card after receiving four-and-a-half stars in 2024-25. Princeton High School also received five stars in the individual categories of Progress and Graduation Rate.
Princeton City Schools received an overall district rating of four stars, maintaining the rating from the 2024-26 Report Card. However, the district is excited for the significant jump in the College, Career, Workforce, and Military Readiness Category, where the district rose from a three-star rating in 2024-25 to a five-star rating in 2025-26, proving that Princeton’s motto of “empowering each student for college, career, and life success” is more than a motto. They are the words that define our district.
Other highlights of the 2025-26 State Report Card include:
Princeton City Schools received a five-star rating in Progress for the fifth year in a row;
Princeton Community Middle School received a three-and-a-half star rating;
And every Princeton elementary school received a rating of three-stars or higher, indicating a high-level education being provided at all grade levels across Princeton.
