Transportation Updates

October 14, 2026

Princeton City School District is pleased to share that union-represented bus drivers have voted to approve the agreement with First Student, Inc.

Bus drivers are expected to return to their regular routes on Tuesday, October 20, coinciding with the first day of the second quarter.

Throughout this disruption, Princeton City Schools has remained committed to Every Student, Every Opportunity, advocating for our students and families while working to minimize interruptions to learning.

I appreciate the efforts that led to this agreement and look forward to restoring reliable transportation services. The District will continue working closely with First Student to confirm operational details and communicate any additional information directly with families as needed before bus service resumes.

Thank you to our families, students, teachers, staff, and community for their patience, flexibility, and resilience throughout this challenging time and as routes resume.

Our staff looks forward to welcoming all our students back to their classrooms and beginning the second quarter with renewed focus on learning, growth, and student success.

Have a great Fall Break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in the buildings on Tuesday, October 20.

Best regards,

Dr. Mari E. Phillips
