September was literacy month & we celebrated BIG at Heritage Hill!
We held a book character dress up day, and staff and students were encouraged to dress as their favorite book character. There were some amazing characters represented: Harry Potter & Hermione, Junie B. Jones, Cat in the Hat, Tiana, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck just to name a few!
We also hosted a Masked Mystery Reader Assembly with 4 mystery reads & the Princeton Viking in attendance! Our masked readers were:
Mr. Bell as Barney reading "Cookiesaurus Rex", Miss Monica as SpongeBob reading "Bad Case of Stripes", Mrs. Lastra as T-Rex reading "Green Eggs and Ham", and Superintendent Card as panda reading "Go Left." The students had so much fun experiencing books in a mysterious way! Thank you to our readers and the Princeton Viking for making literacy come to life at Heritage Hill!
