Ke' Shaun  Carter Selected as U.S. Navy Division's Recruit Chief Petty Officer

Ke’ Shaun Carter, a proud Class of 2025 graduate of Princeton High School, has already distinguished himself through leadership and dedication as one of the top cadets in Princeton High School's Navy JROTC program.

On September 18, 2025, Seaman (E-3) Carter graduated from U.S. Navy Boot Camp, where he was selected to serve as his division’s Recruit Chief Petty Officer (RCPO). In this role, he was entrusted with assisting his Recruit Division Commanders in leading and guiding 100 fellow recruits at the U. S. Navy’s only boot camp.

The position of RCPO is the highest leadership role a recruit can hold, carrying responsibility for maintaining order, ensuring communication, and setting the standard of discipline and performance for the entire division. Carter’s selection for this role speaks volumes about his character, determination, and natural leadership ability.

Ke’ Shaun Carter exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding student, leader, and Sailor. His achievements reflect great pride on his family, Princeton High School, and his community. Well done, Sailor!
