The end of the year is here, but the Innovation Center is wrapping it up with style and strength. Not only did our school earn the "Heart Safe School" designation, but many of our faculty members also became CPR certified, reinforcing that student safety is our top priority. We also said many tearful goodbyes to our graduates, retirees, and the staff who work so closely with our students. The Innovation Center Community Service Workshop celebrated the end to the school year with two major highlights:
Hands-On Service: Students visited Matthew 25: Ministries, where they participated in tangible service projects and walked through disaster simulations to better understand the challenges faced by victims of natural disasters.
Philanthropy in Action: Partnering with Magnified Giving, the workshop concluded with a virtual ceremony where students directed donated grant money to the Save the Animals Foundation.
Future Benefits for Students:
This experience isn't just a line on a resume—it’s a launchpad. Students can use their workshop participation to:
Stand out on college and job applications.
Provide real-world examples during interviews.
Earn a specialized seal for graduation.

Innovation Center students attended ACI Construction Career Days, one of the region’s largest hands-on construction career exploration events. During the experience, students stepped directly into the world of skilled trades by riding in a boom lift truck, building a working dead bolt, creating plaster forms, and participating in interactive activities led by industry professionals. Students also connected with local employers and learned about career opportunities, apprenticeships, and pathways into the construction industry from some of the area’s top companies. #aagv #innovationcenter

At the Innovation Center, collaborative learning is at the heart of Ms. Mena's Geometry class.
