At Evendale Elementary, leadership starts early! This year, our fifth-grade students have taken on the exciting responsibility of delivering the morning announcements to the entire school. From cheerful greetings and daily reminders to the Pledge of Allegiance and weather updates, these students have stepped up to the mic with confidence and enthusiasm.
This opportunity gives our fifth graders a chance to build public speaking skills, practice teamwork, and take pride in setting a positive tone for the school day. Whether they are sharing the lunch menu or highlighting upcoming events, they have embraced the role with poise and a strong sense of community.
But the leadership doesn’t stop there—our fifth graders will soon be preparing to pass the torch. As part of a mentoring tradition, they’re training the fourth-grade students to take over next month. Through hands-on guidance and peer coaching, our fifth graders are showing what it means to lead by example, ensuring that the next group of announcers are ready and confident.
We are so proud of both grades for working together and supporting one another in this fun and meaningful school tradition. Way to go, student leaders!
