At Evendale Elementary, students are learning that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Through the school’s Hope Squad, students have an opportunity to build connections, encourage one another, and help create a welcoming school community. Hope Squad members serve as positive role models for their classmates. They look for ways to include others, spread kindness, and remind their peers that they are not alone when they are having a difficult day. Throughout the school year, the Hope Squad participates in activities designed to promote friendship, belonging, and emotional well-being. Whether it is greeting classmates, organizing kindness activities, or simply taking time to listen to a friend, these students demonstrate that everyone has a role in making Evendale Elementary a caring place to learn. The Hope Squad is promoting Positive Tee-shirt Tuesdays and Wellness Wednesdays. The Hope Squad also helps students recognize the importance of reaching out to trusted adults when someone needs additional support. By encouraging students to look out for one another, the program helps strengthen the sense of community throughout the school. The students involved in Hope Squad are showing that leadership is about more than being in charge—it is about caring for others and making a positive difference. Their efforts are helping make kindness, connection, and hope an important part of everyday life at Evendale Elementary.
