Glendale had a very special guest this week with an extra special message...Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best! The NED Show is a character education program that entertained our entire student body with yo-yo tricks, magic, humor, and life messages. Programs like this help to shape the character of our Lil Vikes!

ADOPT-A-CLASS VISITS GLENDALE...

Adopt-A-Class started their visits with Miss Bittinger and Mrs. Bonno's 2nd grade classes! We kicked off our Adopt-A-Class visits by discussing their dream jobs. The students created amazing paper versions of themselves as future pediatricians, veterinarians, influencers, chefs, and more! Look our world!!

HEART HEALTH PROGRAM @ GLENDALE

❤️A heartfelt thank you to the Glendale and Sharonville Fire Departments for their invaluable contribution to our 4th graders' education! They visited our 4th graders a few weeks ago and introduced a program that equipped students with essential life-saving skills, including recognizing stroke symptoms, performing compressions, and utilizing an AED. This initiative not only fosters confidence but also promotes a stronger sense of safety within our community. Additionally, these lessons seamlessly aligned with our first reading unit in Wit and Wisdom, focusing on the concept of having a great heart, both literally and figuratively. Kudos to all involved for their dedication to empowering our youth!❤️

CELEBRATING INITIATIVE AND CREATIVITY IN THE CLASSROOM...

Mr. Shuey's 5th graders were recently learning about the solar system. One of his students decided to extend his learning independently by going home and creating this model to use as study guide. The student presented his model to Mr. Shuey and the class with pride! This student used his self-assigned homework to reinforce his own learning...you have to love that initiative!! Big Applause to Mr. Shuey and the amazing 5th grade.

🍁Fall is here and so are the meaningful conversations...Miss Bittinger's 2nd graders were engaged in Wit & Wisdom's Socratic Seminar Circle discussing the change in seasons! They have been learning about change and how the change in Fall weather impacts people and nature.

GLENDALE SPOTLIGHT ON NEW STAFF:

I want to introduce you to Ms. Patricia Yarber...she is the new Food Service Cook at Glendale Elementary. Ms. Pat, as we affectionately call her, is not new to PCS at all. Her 18 years of dedicated service says it all and is applauded. Her passion for cooking shines through daily in the smiles of the students as they enjoy the new variety of meals provided for breakfast and lunch. When Ms. Pat is not in the cafeteria, she says that you are more than welcome to meet her on the dancefloor! Dancing is one of her absolute favorite past times. She enjoys all types of music from Jazz to R & B but Gospel music holds a special spot in her heart! Step right on in Ms. Pat, we are delighted to have you on Team Glendale!
