This is a day camp for incoming middle school students. It is a great way to make friends, learn the hallways, and meet some of the teachers students will have at PCMS. This is a free program for all 5th graders who will be coming to PCMS in August.

FACILITY CLOSED - NO ENTRY

Jake Sweeney Stadium and Pat Mancuso Field (Chester Road) are closed for construction. No one is permitted in the area at any time without Megan Construction’s approval.

Please do not enter or use the stadium/field until further notice. This includes practices, workouts, recreation, and informal use. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe.

Team Glendale is rounding 3rd and headed home for Opening Day!

A huge shout out to each of our families that were able to come out last Thursday to Glendale's Academic Night! Our theme this year was "Escape The School". It was great watching the families work together to decode the challenges and escape the multiple classrooms together. What looked like just having fun was also boosting student engagement, fostering teamwork, and promoting critical thinking skills-all of the ingredients for a successful Academic Night!

Couldn’t stop smiling after last Thursday’s Academic Night at Glendale — and it’s all thanks to YOU! 🎉 A big THANK YOU to the PHS Key Club student volunteers who greeted families, helped everyone “escape,” and captured memories at our photo booths. Watching our student leaders engage with families and translate for guests was priceless. We had even more volunteers than pictured — we appreciate every single one of YOU!

School Smiles is Back!
School Smiles dropped by Glendale again and dropped off some big smiles today! This is a free resource that brightens smiles while providing comprehensive dental care right at school. Their mission statement is to improve children's oral health and educational experience-mission accomplished!

NO HEAT, NO PROBLEM...Ms. Bittinger and her 2nd graders just moved to the library for the day! They took Wit & Wisdom on the road (LOL). The students loved reading their new book, John Henry, in a new environment. In addition to their reading lesson, they received a lesson in strengthening their ability to adapt to change and go with the flow-an important life skill! Shout out to Mrs. Behr for allowing them to share her space today and to PCS Maintenance team for working on restoring the heat.

How powerful is it to start February with music, stories, and new books? Thanks to a generous grant from the Bill & Dottie Wilder Foundation, we hosted a complimentary performance by Artists On Tour — welcoming Mr. Napoleon Maddox to Glendale Elementary all the way from France to present "Finding Your Voice Through Hip‑Hop." Our students were energized and our homeroom teachers each received a brand‑new book for their classroom libraries.

We closed out January with an amazing presentation from Adopt‑A‑Class and Children’s Theatre — Henny Penny’s Adventure — performed for our primary students at Glendale Elementary! Exposing young children to the arts supports their social and emotional growth and sparks creative self‑expression. We loved watching some of our students volunteer to join the skit — such confidence and joy!
