As of the time of this posting (4 PM on Tuesday), Princeton City Schools will be open and operating on a normal schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, 2025. We are aware that a fabricated social media post is circulating which falsely claims schools will be closed for the remainder of the week.

If any changes to the school schedule become necessary, we will notify all families through our standard communication methods.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. #AAGV

GLENDALE ELEMENTARY GOES ORANGE FOR INCLUSION...
Day 5 (last Friday) was the final day of Inclusive Schools Week for 2024. We charged the students and staff to go ORANGE and they understood the assignment! In stride with this year's theme, Every Voice Matters, we enjoyed honoring the diverse backgrounds and experiences of students, educators, and families all last week

Day 4 of Inclusive School Week was Community! We asked the staff and students to wear their favorite Princeton Vikings t-shirt. The hallways were filled with students and staff proudly displaying their Viking pride. The vibrant display of school unity was a wonderful representation of our collective community spirit! These t-shirts were definitely some of our favorites, but it was great to see the Viking pride all over the building!

You are invited to "Luminaries and Legacies: A Winter Break Walk-Off" at Jake Sweeney Automotive Stadium on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 5-7 PM.

On Day 3 of Inclusive School Week, the theme was YOU BELONG. We asked the staff and children to wear a t-shirt representing their favorite school or college. From Clark Atlanta University all the way to Educacion Fisica and back to our beloved Glendale Elementary, many schools were represented!

At the end of the 1st grade Social Studies unit titled "The Past and the Present," students created their own butter! The classes of Mrs. Fluker and Ms. Love had a great time discovering the butter-making process by shaking the jars. The highlight for them was definitely tasting the finished product, and they gave it a big thumbs up!

This year’s theme, “Every Voice Matters,” echoes the fundamental belief that every individual has a unique perspective and contributes to the rich tapestry of our school community here at Glendale Elementary. Mr. Walker, our valued Principal, ensures that throughout the week, we’ll honor the diverse backgrounds and experiences of students, educators, and families. Please help us celebrate by allowing your child(ren) to participate in our Inclusive Schools Spirit Week:
Mon. Glendale Is...wear your favorite Glendale shirt
Tues. Diversity Day...wear something to represent where you are from
Wed. You Belong...wear your favorite college or school shirt
Thurs. Community...wear your favorite Viking gear
Fri. Go Orange For Inclusion...wear anything orange

AGAIN, WE SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! We ended the month of gratitude by treating some of Glendale's own veterans to lunch. The meal that was prepared, the stories and memorabilia that were shared... PRICELESS!

Thank you to all the families and staff who were able to attend Glendale's Math Night last month! Because of each of you, it was a huge success. By understanding math, children can better understand the world around them. Math can help kids understand how long it will take to get somewhere, how much money they need to buy something, or how big or small something is. These are essential skills that children can use in their everyday lives. We enjoy making math fun here at Glendale!
