Princeton City School District proudly announces the appointment of Mrs. Jada Eley to the Princeton Board of Education, filling the unexpired term of Mrs. Susan Wyder through December 31, 2027.
Mrs. Eley, a 31-year resident of Springdale, has been deeply involved in both Princeton City Schools and the broader community. Her oldest son graduated from Princeton, taking advantage of the district’s Information Technology program in partnership with the University of Cincinnati, while her youngest son is currently a senior at Scarlet Oaks in the Welding program.
Over the years, Mrs. Eley has contributed in a variety of ways to support students and families. Her journey with Princeton began when her oldest child joined a FIRST LEGO League team at Springdale Elementary. She went on to serve as a co-coach, tutor, and mentor for the program, extending academic support to students across the district and beyond. She continues to serve as a judge and mentor for Ohio FIRST LEGO League tournaments statewide. Her involvement has also included time on the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee, as well as close collaboration with teachers and counselors to advocate for the success of her children and other students, including those with exceptional needs.
Beyond Princeton, Mrs. Eley is an active Cub Scout leader in Springdale Pack 251, a volunteer with the Springdale Police Department, and a board member with the Tri-Co Network Foundation, a minority woman–owned nonprofit focused on education, professional growth, and advocacy. Her professional career spans 35 years at a small business, where she serves as an office and quality assurance manager, giving her extensive experience in logistics, finance, and problem-solving.
Board President Jon Simons shared, “Mrs. Eley brings passion and a parent and consumer’s perspective to the Board of Education. As a Board, we voted her in unanimously and are confident that her dedication to Princeton and our community will strengthen our work as a governing body. We welcome her to the Board.”
Superintendent G. Elgin Card added, “Mrs. Eley has been involved with many Princeton extracurricular activities, as well as serving in leadership roles as a parent. Her voice will be invaluable as we continue to focus on empowering each student for college, career, and life success.”
The Board of Education carefully narrowed its interviews to a dozen applicants for the open position and ultimately voted unanimously to select Mrs. Eley. She was sworn in at the Monday, September 15, 2025, Regular Board Meeting.
Please join us in welcoming her to this important role!
