As tomorrow (July 31) officially marks her last day as the principal of Heritage Hill Elementary, we want to extend our deepest thanks and love to Principal Peterson for an extraordinary year of elite leadership, growth, and fun! 🤩 Principal Peterson is a remarkable person and principal and has made a profound impact on the lives of Heritage Hill staff, students and families in her tenure at HH. These are just a few favorites of the hundreds of photos including Principal Peterson from the 2024-2025 school year. The first photo is a menti created using words the staff submitted to describe Mrs. Peterson into her initials for her new office- over 75 words were submitted, a few of the most repeated adjectives were: positive, supportive, transparent, visionary, stylish, passionate, understanding. We want to wish her all the best on her next chapter- we know she will shine bright in all she does! Remember, once a Viking, always a Viking! 🚔 Activity: Professional police training exercises and drills

✅ What You Should Know:
This is routine training to keep our officers prepared and our community safe. You may see increased police presence and vehicles in the area. There is no emergency or cause for concern. The school is not in session, and no students will be present.

In May, staff and students from Heritage Hill had the opportunity to create a collaborative painting with local artist, Patti Roper. The only requirement for each individual was to paint something that represented them inside the circle of their choice. This painting is now on display at the SOS Art Show at the Art Academy of Cincinnati through July 13! This community art show is a creative expression for peace and justice. The Art Academy of Cincinnati is located at 1212 Jackson Street | Cincinnati, OH 45202. Please check the attached flyers for dates and hours. Following the art show, this piece will be hung at Heritage Hill Elementary School. Special thanks to Patti Roper for her creative idea and being a part of Passion Projects 2025! #AAGV

Community Update: The Hamilton County SWAT team is using the Springdale Elementary School parking lot area and space near the Springdale Recreation Center for Physical Fitness training today, Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The mobile book bus stopped by summer school today! Students enjoyed outdoor reading time! Also some highlights of class time games, activities and crafts! #AAGV

Science experiments in action at summer school! These students have been learning about the life cycles of butterflies, focusing on important vocabulary and writing skills. We tied it altogether with a super fun science experiment- making crystal butterflies! We got to see our results today and we think they turned out amazing! This is a very fun and inexpensive way to experience science with your kiddos at home this summer! Take pipe cleaners and make them into the shape of butterfly wings, tie them to a pencil with string, boil water and mix two cups boiled water with 1/2 cup Borax. Place in a glass container, place wings into mixture and let sit for 2-3 days, crystal butterflies will be the end result. Cut away excess crystals, add antenna and eyes if desired! Super fun! 🤩 #AAGV

Crystal Clear Science: Wonderful Water 💧 assembly at summer school- learning important science vocabulary through experiments! 💦 Learning about the ocean and fish with sight words, using The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister as a guide. And putting out butterfly feeders in the garden to see if we can attract butterflies! 🦋 #AAGV
