Dear Princeton Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!
It is my privilege, as the new Superintendent of Princeton City Schools, to welcome you. Having served this district in many roles throughout my career, I am honored to continue serving our students, families, staff, and community in this new capacity.
As we begin a new school year, our focus is clear: Every Student, Every Opportunity. This commitment guides every decision we make and reflects our belief that every student deserves to learn in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where they are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Our dedicated teachers and staff have been preparing for students' return. We look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, new opportunities, and memorable experiences.
The success of our students depends on a strong partnership between home and school. I encourage you to stay connected with your child’s school, communicate regularly with teachers, participate in school events, and remain engaged in your child’s educational journey. Your involvement is vital, and together, we can provide the support and encouragement every student needs to thrive.
Throughout the year, I look forward to meeting many of you at our schools, performances, athletic events, and community activities. I remain committed to listening, learning, and working alongside our families as we continue building on Princeton’s proud tradition of excellence.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We are honored to be part of their educational journey and look forward to an outstanding school year.
Every Student, Every Opportunity.
As Always, Go Vikes!
With gratitude,
Dr. Mari E. Phillips, Superintendent
P.S. If you see me at one of our schools or community events, I hope you’ll take a moment to say hello. I look forward to meeting our students and families, hearing your perspectives, and celebrating the many successes we will achieve together this school year.
