September Viking VIPs

Congratulations to our September Viking VIPs! These students have exemplified Habit 1: Being Proactive.

Additionally, we would like to express our gratitude to The Vineyard Church for their generous donation of juice and donuts to celebrate our VIPs.

Kindergarten: Eric & Ari

Eric is a good student who is responsible. He always follows the routine and tries to help others be responsible too!

Ari comes to school with a fun, ready to learn attitude. He takes initiative, participates in discussions, and is off to a great start in Kindergarten!

1st Grade: Ky’Relle & Jeremiah

Ky'Relle has started 1st grade with a leader mentality.  He is helpful to his teacher and peers; demonstrating how to be Proactive daily with his choices and work completion.  Keep it up Ky'Relle, you are rocking it!

Jeremiah is proactive in first grade! Jeremiah always is sure to complete his work and follow directions the first time. He makes sure each day he has everything he needs to be successful in class.

2nd Grade: Laniyah & Josiah

Laniyah was an easy choice for my first Viking VIP and Habit 1: Be Proactive! Laniyah is always on her A game and minds her own business. She knows what it means to take care of herself and not worry about what others are doing or thinking. She is a proactive rockstar!!

I am so happy to nominate Josiah as our first Viking VIP! He has displayed habit one everyday in school. Josiah works hard to be proactive in his school work, always trying his hardest and never giving up. I am so proud of not only how hard he is working but how kind he is to his classmates! Keep it up Josiah, you are shining so bright!!

3rd Grade: Aaliyah & Camron

Ms. Peasley’s crew: Tyler

Tyler has been an example of Habit 1: Be Proactive this month in our classroom. Tyler will listen when he is asked to do something, and will help others who need it. Sometimes, he helps without being asked! He is quick to do what he needs to do so he can have fun afterwards. Thanks, Tyler, for exhibiting Habit 1: Be Proactive!

Aaliyah is a wonderful 3rd grader. She is proactive throughout the entire day. Aaliyah follows all directions to maximize her learning time and is responsible for being in charge of herself. She is also aware of being positive no matter what! Keep shining, Aaliyah!!!

Camron is a master at being Proactive! He is constantly putting first things first when it comes to following directions, getting his work done or being an amazing partner to his classmates. I am so proud of him and cannot wait to see him continue to shine in third grade!

4th Grade: Jaya & Brooklyn

Jaya is our Viking VIP because she continues to display habit 1, being proactive. She comes to school every day prepared and ready to learn. Jaya chooses to do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Keep up the great work!

Brooklyn is a model student in the classroom. She is always prepared for class and ready to learn.

5th Grade: Ke’mari & Hannah

Ke'mari has been a great addition to LHES. SHe has already had so many changes and has been such a resilient person with her ability to handle anything that has come her way. She tries her best to stay focused on herself everyday!

Hannah is proactive because of all her hard work each day both in and outside of the classroom. She leads by example quietly and is an outstanding role model for the rest of our students.

Specials: Justina, Aaliyah & Adrian

Justina is an outstanding example of what it means to be proactive in PE. She is very responsible and always takes initiative to do the right thing, regardless of what others are doing around her.

I chose Aaliyah because she takes responsibility for her art projects, making thoughtful choices and staying focused on her goals. She uses her creativity to solve problems and maintains a positive attitude in the art room.

Adrian has already shown responsibility for his classroom leadership role.  He pays attention to our routines and anticipates when he needs to turn the lights off or on.  Adrian is proactive about turning the lights off, usually before Ms. Carter even asks him to.
