Lincoln Heights Elementary students were welcomed with a new face leading the school as principal as Dr. Derrick Shelton stood outside, welcomed students into the building, and began his tenure as principal.
Dr. Shelton also met with Princeton Superintendent Dr. Mari Phillips on the First Day of School.
Dr. Shelton succeeds longtime Lincoln Heights Principal Dawn Bailey, who retired after the 2025-26 school year. Dr. Shelton comes to Princeton having served as an elementary special education teacher, intervention specialist, and school administrator for over 20 years.
