Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) Statement
Princeton City Schools and Princeton High School support our student-athletes while remaining committed to full compliance with Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) rules regarding Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
Any NIL opportunity involving a Princeton student-athlete is a private and independent arrangement between the student-athlete, their parent/guardian, and an outside third party.
Princeton City Schools, Princeton High School, the Princeton Athletic Department, its athletic teams, coaches, administrators, booster organizations, foundations, and other school-affiliated entities do not fund, provide, arrange, facilitate, administer, or guarantee NIL compensation for student-athletes.
No taxpayer funds, school funds, athletic department funds, or donations made to Princeton City Schools, Princeton High School, Princeton Athletics, or school-affiliated organizations are used to compensate student-athletes for NIL activities.
Additionally:
NIL compensation may not provide money, merchandise, services, or other benefits to
Princeton High School or any Princeton athletic team.
Princeton High School names, logos, mascots, trademarks, uniforms, and other school-
owned identifiers may not be used in compensated NIL promotions in a manner
prohibited by OHSAA rules.
NIL activities may not imply that Princeton City Schools, Princeton High School, or
Princeton Athletics endorse or sponsor the agreement, business, product, or service.
Coaches, administrators, booster organizations, foundations, and other representatives of
the school may not provide NIL agreements to student-athletes.
All NIL agreements are the responsibility of the student-athlete and their family and must
comply with applicable OHSAA rules and reporting requirements.
Princeton City Schools remains committed to ensuring that public funds and school-related donations support the educational and athletic programs of the district—not private NIL compensation for individual student-athletes.
