In a proud moment for Princeton High School, Jim O'Connor has been selected as the World Affairs Council of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky's "2025 Educator of the Year."

As a dedicated teacher of AP Human Geography and American Government, as well as the junior varsity Boys Golf Coach, Mr. O'Connor has made a significant impact on his Princeton students and the broader community.
Mr. O'Connor expressed his gratitude for the support of the World Affairs Council, particularly highlighting the International Education Summit. This annual summit has been instrumental in providing Princeton students with opportunities to interact with community leaders, discuss local social, economic, and political issues, and collaborate with their peers.
Mr. O'Connor noted, "This event has allowed many Princeton students to engage with community leaders, share their ideas and creativity, and learn about important issues."
In addition to teaching engaging lessons and life skills, Mr. O’Connor understands the benefits of taking students to tour the Northern Kentucky University (NKU) campus. These trips have led to many Princeton students enrolling at NKU each year and are a great example of positive relationships fostered between Princeton City Schools and higher learning institutions.
The World Affairs Council recognizes Mr. O'Connor's leadership in the International Education Summit and his dedication to academic excellence and community engagement.
"I am truly honored to be selected for this recognition," Mr. O'Connor said. "It’s not just about me; it reflects the support of our school and community. I’m proud to represent Princeton High School."
His recognition serves as an inspiration to both current and future educators, exemplifying the profound impact an engaged teacher can have on students and the community.
Way to go, Mr. O’C! You are a true Viking #DifferenceMaker!
