Sophia Cawthorne

Sophia is the daughter of Tamuna Cawthorne and James Cawthorne. She lives in Sycamore Township, attended Stewart Elementary, and has gone to Princeton schools for 13 years. This is her first year swimming. She has been in NHS since her sophomore year, she played soccer her freshman year, and she loves her science and art classes.

Accomplishments most proud of: 

Balancing school, work, and sports.

Plans after high school:

Sophia plans to go to college.

Favorite swimming memory:

At the December 9th meet against Little Miami, she swam her fastest times of the season and came in first in both of her events. It reminded her that she shouldn’t give up. It was a moment of realization that she was improving and should keep pushing to improve even more.

Words of wisdom for underclass or future swimmers:

Enjoy every moment, time goes by fast. Swim every event like it’s your last one.




Seth Finnerty

Seth is the son of Pamela McWhorter and Tim Finnerty. He went to Stewart Elementary and has attended Princeton schools for 12 years. He has been swimming for 8 years for Princeton and for Powel Crosley YMCA. He is also a member of NHS.

Accomplishments most proud of: 

Seth is most proud of making districts his junior year.

Plans after high school:

Seth plans to go to college after high school

Favorite swimming memory:

His favorite memory is making Districts his freshman year.

Words of wisdom for underclass or future swimmers:

Listen to your coaches. They give good advice to make you better.



Ella Janssens

Ella is the daughter of Katie and Gus Janssens. She went to Springdale Elementary and has attended Princeton Schools since Kindergarten. She has been swimming for 13 years for the Springdale Sailfish, Hydra Swimming, and for Princeton Middle and High School teams. She is in NHS, Marching Band, Symphonic Band, ASL Honor Society, Pit Orchestra, Solo and Ensemble, the Wright State Honor Band, and Jazz Ensemble.

Accomplishments most proud of: 

Doing well in school and going to college after she graduates.

Plans after high school:

Ella plans to major in speech and hearing sciences.

Favorite swimming memory:

Her sophomore year playing mermaids with Reagan during practice when a chair was at the bottom of the pool.

Words of wisdom for underclass or future swimmers:

Have a purpose in everything you do!



Lily Sharpshair

Lily is the daughter of Amy and Jon Sharpshair. She has attended Princeton schools for 8 years. She lives in Sharonville and attended Evendale Elementary and St. Michael’s School. Lily has been swimming for Princeton for 6 years. She is in NHS, Red Rage, played Varsity Volleyball for 4 years, and is the Superintendent Cabinet Chair.

Accomplishments most proud of: 

She was 1st Team and All GMC for Volleyball

Plans after high school:

Lily plans to attend UC Clermont while focusing on the Medical Field and she has accepted a position on their USCAA National Championship Volleyball Team.

Favorite swimming memory:

Her favorite swimming memory is all the special relationships I've made with her girls & especially her coaches. “I will never forget the after practice showers with the girls, it was basically a concert, therapy session, and comedy show all at once.” She is really going to miss those after practice showers especially Gabby yelling so loud for shampoo & conditioner

Words of wisdom for underclass or future swimmers:

Lean on your teammates, this team is what makes the hard days easier and the good days even better, and to my girls, never forget how strong and capable you are, both in and out of the pool.

Lily would like to thank her coaches, her amazing teammates, and her family for always supporting her and pushing her to be her best throughout her swimming career.




Smey Tea

Smey is the daughter of Sareth Kemr. She has attended Princeton schools for 3 years. She lives in Sharonville and this is her first year on the swim team. 

Accomplishments most proud of: 

She challenged herself to try new sports.

Plans after high school:

Smey plans to go to college.

Favorite swimming memory:

Making friends and challenging herself.

Show up even on hard days.
