The Princeton High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) proudly welcomed sixty students into its ranks during the Spring induction ceremony held at Matthews Auditorium. The ceremony recognized the pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, celebrating the achievements of these students and their commitment to making a positive impact in their school and the broader community.
Principal James Stallings opened the event with welcoming remarks, expressing pride in the students' accomplishments and gratitude to families, staff, and distinguished guests in attendance.
Superintendent G. Elgin Card delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the power of gratitude and the importance of honoring those who support us on the path to success.
The program, thoughtfully organized and led by NHS Chapter Officers, reflected the student-led values of the organization. NHS President Lilli Edmiston and Vice President Lily Walton led the evening’s proceedings, commending the inductees for their academic excellence and contributions to the community.
Jennifer Mendoza-Lopez spoke on the value of scholarship and leadership; Lily Walton highlighted the impact of service; and Lilli Edmiston addressed the importance of character before inviting the inductees to recite the official National Honor Society Pledge.
In the closing remarks, Chapter Advisor Miranda Cozzi expressed deep pride in the students’ achievements and confidence in their continued leadership. She also thanked the families and staff who have supported these scholars throughout their journey.
