On Thursday, July 2, the Princeton Mobile Book Center gave out its 1,000th book of the Summer 2026 season!

This marks a significant achievement during a summer initiative that promotes early childhood literacy and continued education throughout the summer months. Children can come aboard the bus and take a book for free when the bus operates.

The Princeton Mobile Book Center, co-founded by Princeton Director of Communications Tricia Roddy and Head Librarian Amy Price in 2016, operates at three to four stops per day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the summer. It also operates at special events across the Princeton community.
