Dear Princeton Families and Community Members,
Regarding the Independent Investigation and After-Action Review of Police Response to Events of February 7, 2025, in Evendale, Ohio, we at Princeton City Schools want to reaffirm our commitment to the safety and security of all Princeton students, staff, families, and community members.
We are currently reviewing the findings of the released report and will continue to analyze the areas that directly impact our schools. Our top priority remains to ensure that people in our buildings and campuses are safe, that communication is clear and timely, and that our systems are aligned with the highest standards of emergency preparedness and responsiveness.
To that end, we have launched the Princeton Community Safety Coalition. This collaborative initiative brings together local law enforcement agencies, emergency management personnel, elected officials, and school leaders. The goal of this coalition is to create and strengthen proactive safety measures, improve coordination across our neighborhoods, and build trust through transparency and collaboration.
Our schools do not exist in isolation; they are deeply connected to the neighborhoods we serve. That’s why your voice and partnership are vital as we move forward with purpose and care. In the coming weeks, to allow for open dialogue, family engagement, and community feedback, we will seek input from our many stakeholders to ensure a more united voice.
As we reflect on the events of February 7, we are focused not only on understanding what happened and also on building a safer, more responsive, and more united Princeton for everyone.
Sincerely,
G. Elgin Card
Superintendent
